Lhe American director Jeff Baena has died, report the American media TMZ and the AP agency. The 47-year-old man was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on Friday January 3. According to the police investigation report, the man who was also a screenwriter and the husband of actress Aubrey Plaza committed suicide by hanging.

Jeff Baena was born in Miami, raised in South Florida and studied film at New York University. He co-wrote the screenplay for the comedy with director David O. Russell. J’adore Huckabeesreleased in 2004 in the United States and starring, among others, Isabelle Huppert and Dustin Hoffman. He was also a production assistant for Robert Zemeckis.

Jeff Baena was in a relationship since 2011 with actress Aubrey Plaza, revealed in the series Parks & Recreation and particularly known for her role in The White Lotus. They were married in 2021. They collaborated on several occasions, notably for the film Life After Beth, released across the Atlantic in 2014 and Spin Me Roundreleased in 2022.
