French actor Dimitri Boetto is suspected of having killed his ex-brother-in-law during a violent fight in the town of Apt. He was arrested and taken into custody for homicide. An investigation into an assassination was opened by the Avignon public prosecutor's office.
A man lost his life on Wednesday January 1 during a violent fight between two fifty-year-olds. The events took place between noon and 2 p.m. outside a bar in the town of Apt, on the Cours Lauze de Perret, according to information from France Blue Vaucluse.
When they arrived on the scene, emergency services discovered a man from Apt unconscious on the public road. The fifty-year-old showed numerous traces of blows. He was taken to hospital before succumbing to his injuries later in the day.
Dimitri Boetto placed in police custody
The alleged perpetrator was quickly identified. This is Dimitri Boetto, a 51-year-old French actor from Apt. He was arrested at Saint-Exupéry station in Lyon while he was on a train heading to Paris. He was then placed in police custody for homicide and an investigation into murder was opened by the Avignon public prosecutor's office.
