January 8 to 11: New Year’s concert by the Champs-Elysées Orchestra
The Champs-Elysées Orchestra conducted by Philippe Herreweghe in turn gives its New Year’s Concert. No less than four concerts in Poitiers, La Rochelle, Chalons-en Champagne and Perpignan.
Johann Strauss II, whose birth bicentenary is being celebrated this year, takes the lion’s share with The Beautiful Blue Danubeas well as other waltzes and polkas and the tune “ My lord Marquis » extract from The Bat which soprano Alina Wunderlin will sing. Also on the program are several Hungarian Dances by Brahms and extracts from operettas by Franz Lehár.

January 9: The Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral” by Beethoven by the Bordeaux Aquitaine National Orchestra conducted by Joseph Swensen
Beethoven is in the spotlight at the first 2025 concert of the Bordeaux Aquitaine National Orchestra, which will be conducted by the charismatic maestro Josef Swensen. First of all the Concerto pour piano n°4 with the Lebanese pianist Abdel Rahman el Bacha, and the Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral”.
This evening will also be an opportunity to hear Sa-li (Gap of the Time) by South Korean composer Song-Aa-Park, winner last year of the first composition competition “ Unanimous! » organized by the French Association of Orchestras. This concert will be broadcast on Radio Classique on Saturday 1is February at 8 p.m.

January 9: The Paintings at an exhibition by Mussorgsky by the Paris Orchestra conducted by Klaus Mäkelä
It is Mussorgsky’s emblematic work. THE Paintings at an exhibitionorchestrated by Maurice Ravel, are on the program for this concert by the Orchester de Paris conducted by Klaus Mäkelä.
In the first part, three works: Initial by Pierre Boulez, the centenary of whose birth we are celebrating this year, the triptych Nocturnes by Debussy and the Gloria by Poulenc with soprano Elsa Benoit and the Choir of the Orchester de Paris.
