No Favard versus 1 show this week but Gilles Favard gives you his prediction for the Quinté+ this Wednesday in Vincennes, the Dominik Cordeau Prizean event reserved for horses aged 5 and 6 years old having earned at least €35,000 but not €245,000.
R1C5 – Dominik Cordeau Prize – 2100m – 3:15 p.m.
Here are Gilles Favard’s favorites
2 – Mona Lisa Sibey : After a disappointing summer at Enghien and Vincennes, this mare from the Baudouin family was left to rest. Since her return to competition, she has shown a completely different face, as evidenced by her two second places at Vincennes recently, including one on the course that interests us.
13 – Edgar Saba : After an almost perfect year 2024, this protégé of Erik Bondo intends to start 2025 in the same way. A specialist in speed courses, he should be able to shine this Wednesday.
14 – Dylan Dog Font : This Italian horse is back on our soil with maximum confidence since he has just won the Milan Cup (Gr.III) by also winning his battery. He appreciates speed courses and will be entrusted to Eric Raffin. A good base.
11 – Immortal Doc : He was one of the marks in the Prix Octave Douesnel (Gr.II), the reference race of this Quinté+, and beat many competitors whom he will meet again on Wednesday. It should be more interesting than last time over 2100m because he discovered the Vincennes racecourse. From now on, he has two courses in his legs on the Parisian cinders and cannot be ruled out, quite the contrary.
8 – Elegance Kronos : We are going to discover this new mare from Laurent-Claude Abrivard. After having performed in Scandinavia (recently third in a Group I in Sweden), she will start in France this Wednesday. Gilles Favard strongly believes in the revelation of this mare.
6 – Jabalpur : We no longer present it! This son of Booster Winner could not have started his winter meeting better since he won in his two outings, notably in the Prix Narquois against Joconde Sibey. Always barefoot, it is difficult to go against his candidacy.
