From February 8 to 14, 2025 in Tinchebray (Orne)the new film festival will be organized on the theme of cinema professions. For this second edition after that of October 2022 and the weekend with Yolande Moreau last February, two musical shows will be hosted by musicians on stage, facing a film projection on a screen.
Two musical shows
It will be about The Eye and the Ear by Christine François and Jean-François Hoel accompanied by Hervé Mabille, both musicians and noisemakers. The other show will echo the work of Georges Melies, by Marie-Hélène Le Hérissey (great-granddaughter of Georges Melies) and Lawrence, his son.
On the screening of silent films by Georges Melies, Marie Hélène is the narrator and Lawrence plays the piano and directly.
Two film concerts will be hosted live by Hervé Mabille: White Horsehair accompanied by around ten children from Tinchebray for the sound effects, and The Red Balloonaccompanied by the choir from Tinchebray.
Five screenings also on the program
– Let it pass by Bertrand Tavernier, in the presence of production designer Pascal Chatton, assistant production designer on this film who will present plans, photos and others to the public working documents after the screening;
– The Double Crossed by Jean-Charles Atzeny, directorwith the honor of his presence;
– Wear Prevention, musical in the presence of Gilles Charmant, director;
– The Course of Life with Frédéric Sojcher, director accompanied by Dina Alves, actress and costume designer;
– The last film will be defined during outings of the moment.
Furthermore, a competition is once again organized for young people aged 10 to 25: creating a soundtrack on a film extract. Jean-François Hoel will lead a sound effects workshop for around ten young people. Pascal Chatton, production designer; will offer an exhibition at the Tinchebray media library.
Jean-Luc Sigel, artist photographer ambulant, with the same technique as Georges Melies in still images, will be present near the cinema to produce the portraits of those who desire it.
The prints made on site will be exhibited in the cinema lobby. The association team will cover a large part of the cost of this festival and is therefore asking for donations. local sponsors whose logo will appear on the programs.
