The month of December has finally arrived and with it the long-awaited release of COVER: THE LION KINGthe event film from Disney Studios directed by Barry Jenkins (MOONLIGHT). L’album COVER: THE LION KING was produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Mancina et Tom MacDougall, president of Walt Disney Music. The music, which will be included in the Deluxe version of the soundtrack, was composed by Dave Metzger. From December 13, it will be possible to listen to the “songs only” or “deluxe” versions of the film’s soundtrack – available for pre-order now.

ABOUT THE FILM
Rafiki tells the young lioness Kiara – the daughter of Simba and Nala – about the legend of Mufasa. He is helped in this by Timon and Pumbaa, whose shocking formulas are now well known.
Told in the form of flashbacks, Mufasa’s story is that of an orphaned lion cub, alone and distraught who, one day, meets the friendly Taka, heir to a royal lineage. This chance encounter marks the starting point of a journey full of adventures for a small group of “undesirables” who have formed around them and who are now in search of their destiny. Their bonds of friendship will be put to the test when they must team up to escape an enemy as menacing as it is deadly…
