Zoe Saldaña has arrived at the Golden Globes to show us what we were missing.
The actor walked the deep-crimson carpet at the Beverly Hilton in a fabulous gown courtesy of Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. It was a chocolate-brown strapless dress completely covered in shimmering sequins. The piece had a plunging sweetheart neckline and an hourglass silhouette. On her arms, Saldaña draped a crisp cloak in a warmer shade of brown, which matched her platform peep-toe sandals.
For a finishing touch of Hollywood glamour, she accessorized with layers of incredible Cartier diamonds, including a necklace of white and yellow diamonds that cascaded down her décolletage, plus matching earrings.
Saldaña has had a busy and glamorous 24 hours. Last night, she wore a breezy sheer brown Victoria Beckham dress with electric-blue embellishments at the skirt to attend the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Awards. She also walked the carpet at Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch and Creative Impact Awards in a chic black Marni dress with a bold red rose print.
Saldaña is a first-time Golden Globes nominee. She is up for an award in the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category for her performance in the highly buzzed-about Emilia Perez. (Costar Selena Gomez is also nominated in the category, and in a touching post she voiced how “proud” she is of Saldaña.)
In the film, Saldaña plays Rita, a Mexico City lawyer who is enlisted by a cartel leader (Karla Sofía Gascón) to help them safely transition into a new and authentic life as a woman, named Emilia Pérez.
In an interview with Deadline, Saldaña recalled the moment she got the call from her “kick-ass agents” about the role: “When you receive a call like that, you kind of have an out-of-body experience, you know? I think I was taking one of my children to a doctor’s appointment when I received the call, and I remember feeling, oh my God, is this really real? Jacques Audiard is doing a movie that I may be right for? What?” she said.
