It’s one of the best science fiction series and its season 2 is finally online: an intense fight for survival that will fascinate you!

The AppleTV+ platform has established itself as the queen of science fiction streaming. After Foundation, For All Mankind et Severancewhose season 2 should soon arrive, the company released Silo, which quickly established itself as one of the best series of the moment. Good news for fans of the genre: the second season is now online on Apple + and has even better reviews than the first.

Silo continues to be one of the strongest offerings in the genre, and audiences and critics alike agree. The second season of the series begins right after the twist of the first, with Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) confronting her journey to the contaminated surface of the planet. Running out of air and discovering the existence of other silos, the mechanic and researcher took refuge in the nearest silo. What awaits him is a terrifying version of the silo we already know.

A moving season 2

Silo 17 is surrounded by thousands of skeletons and resembles an enigmatic place, overrun by ruin and despair. In this scenario, Juliette faces a bleak future for her own silo: finding answers to the silo’s riddles could be very expensive…and cost ten thousand lives.

A political thriller with science fiction overtones, this second season triggers a fierce power struggle across 144 floors. The lower levels have been declared enemies and seek to wipe out the rebellion through blockades that condemn them to starvation. However, the mechanics in the deep layers have a hidden trick: they control the generators that provide electricity to the entire silo. The fire of rebellion burns at the lowest level and it is up to Mayor Bernard Holland (Tim Robbins) to prevent the collapse of society.

>> Neither Silo, nor Arcane: it is one of the best science fiction series available in streaming, but it has not had the success it deserves!

Rebecca Ferguson is one of fiction’s greatest assets, and she returns here as a survivalist superhero in true Lara Croft style. During this journey, Juliette must prove her worth by facing multiple problems to stay alive. Likewise, Robbins shines in the second season as an increasingly complex and complicated villain who sees no other way out than to compromise his morals and commit terrible acts in the name of order.

The critics are unanimous

Just like the first season, this season 2 immediately won over critics. “Silo remains a solid offering for fans of slow-burn sci-fi and brutalist architecture,” writes the Financial Times; “Despite its increased scope and ambition, Silo season 2 stays true to its quiet, isolated sci-fi style, which is a very good thing,” notes The Spool; “By transforming a cult novel into a discreet sci-fi gem, Ferguson carries out his improbable mission in style”, we can read in the Daily Telegraph.
