This Sunday, January 5 at the microphone of Seven to Eight, Michèle Bernier returned to her painful breakup with Bruno Gaccio, while she was expecting their second child.

It was love at first sight for Michèle Bernier, the first time she met Bruno Gaccio. In 1982, behind the scenes of the Théâtre de Bouvard, the comedian met the eyes of the man who would prove to be his companion for nearly 15 years. From their union two children were born, Charlotte in 1987 and Enzo in 1997. That same year, her ex-husband left her, while they were expecting their second child. A brutal breakup that she had to overcome and for which she is not really resentful. She confides as rarely about this complicated period at the microphone of Seven to eight, this Sunday, January 5.

I really wanted to move forward…”: Michèle Bernier talks about her separation from Bruno Gaccio

Michèle Bernier spoke without filter about her breakup with author Bruno Gaccio. Although she shows great respect towards the father of her two children, she remembers how she managed to overcome this difficult period, then pregnant with their second child: We do a lot of couch work, a lot of psychology“, she testifies with a smile in Seven to Eight. At the same time, she plays on stage the role of a woman who has just been left by her husband, who has left to live a romance with a younger woman, the comedian explains: “At one point I stopped asking myself the question, I really wanted to move forward… I had met a lot of women who had suffered, I said to myself ‘I’m not alone in having experienced things like That’. Many women asked me how I managed to get through it.“.

Things are very peaceful”: Michèle Bernier claims to have remained on good terms with the father of her children

Water has flowed under the bridge since then. In Seven to EightMichèle Bernier explains about her separation: “He met people and that’s how it is… 28 years later, things are very peaceful“. The two artists have remained on very good terms and Michèle Bernier has since remained discreet about her love life, although she recently expressed her opinion on marriage. If life has not always been kind to the comedian, Michèle Bernier keeps smiling and never forgets her motto: “Even if it means being sad, you might as well seem cheerful”she says at Audrey Crespo-Mara’s microphone.
