Cara Delevingne and Anya Taylor-Joy marked the 2025 Golden Globes with a very inspired professional look. The duo talked about the iconic couple formed by Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow in the film Romy et Michele’s High School Reunionsporting coordinating outfits on the red carpet on Sunday, January 5, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
Aged 28, the star of Furious chose a pale pink outfit reminiscent of Michele’s (played by Kudrow, 61) dress at the end of the 1997 film. Meanwhile, Delevingne, 32, opted for a shimmering blue dress that echoed the one worn by Romy (Sorvino, 57 years old) in this successful comedy.
On the red carpet, Taylor-Joy revealed to Variety : “We did this by accident, but now they say it was intentional.” Delevingne added: “It was a happy mistake.”
This isn’t the first time the two actresses have synced up their looks. In June 2024, they wore matching white tops during a show at the Glastonbury festival in England. Delevingne and Taylor-Joy were also seen together on a girls’ night out in December 2023 in New York, along with Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Zoë Kravitz, as well as their bodyguards.
Concerning Romy et Micheleit seems that a long-awaited reboot is in the works. Sorvino mentioned to People in November 2024 that the project was “very close to being validated,” and that a director had even been hired. She said executive producer deals had been made and several versions of a promising script had been written.
She also indicated that “almost all the important characters from the original will return.” Filming is planned for the second quarter of next year, subject to final agreements.
