Here is the January program at the Gramat library. Tuesday January 7: at 2 p.m., writing workshop. Wednesday January 8 and every Wednesday: from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., chess circle. Friday January 10: at 2 p.m., seniors meeting. Tuesday January 14: at 2 p.m., home delivery of books. Wednesday January 15: at 11 a.m., story time for children aged 2 to 6. Tuesday January 28: reading circle.

There are also the “pluses” of the month. Here is the list. Tuesday January 14: at 2 p.m., at the Micro Folie, history afternoon. Jacques Martin will lead a conference on The Fountain of Youth treated during the Renaissance by two great painters, Lucien Cranach the Elder and Hieronymus Bosch. This conference will be followed by the screening of the “Impressionism” collection. Friday January 17: at 3 p.m., reading show “Water History”. Claude Leclerc offers a reading show for all audiences with texts from novels, short stories, theater monologues, fables… funny, incisive, tender or mocking texts. Tuesday January 21: at 9:30 a.m., digital workshop on prevention which will cover e-mail, online purchases, scams in general on the internet, securing equipment.

Exhibitions can be discovered in January, starting with “Originals by Guillaume Sorel”, from Tuesday January 7 to Saturday February 8. Bernard Vollant, collector from Amadour, reveals some of the originals which he acquired from Guillaume Sorel, illustrator and comic book writer. In January and February at the Micro-Folie, “Impressionism” collection. The Impressionist festival is joining forces with Micro-Folie to offer a collection that highlights 150 works by great artists such as Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley, Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, and many others.

From January 23 to 26, these will be Reading Nights. Organized by the National Book Center, they are back in 2025 for an edition highlighting heritage. The library is currently putting together the program. Throughout the month, more than fifty video games are available. With family, friends or alone, you can come and have fun during library opening hours.
