Producer Dimitri Rassam has confirmed the release of the third installment of “The Three Musketeers.” But we’ll have to be patient a little longer before we can see it in theaters.

After “D’Artagnan” and “Milady”, released in theaters the same year, in 2023, the saga of the “Three Musketeers” will have the right to a third part, called “Twenty Years Later”.

However, this third and final part of the film adaptation of the eponymous novel by Alexandre Dumas will not be released before 2027, announced on - the producer Dimitri Rassam, who also supervised “The Count of Monte-Cristo”.

“I think ‘Twenty Years Later,’ the second novel, is absolutely extraordinary. So that was always the ambition,” he said. However, he does not intend “to wait 20 years.” The film will be released “by 2027,” he said.

For the record, the first film attracted nearly 3.5 million spectators in theaters, while the second, “Milady”, still carried by François Civil, Vincent Cassel, Romain Duris, Pio Marmaï and Eva Green, had totaled a little more than 2.5 million entries.

Since you don’t change a winning team, the conclusion of this trilogy should once again be directed by Martin Bourboulon and Matthieu Delaporte should find his accomplice Alexandre de la Patellière for the writing of the screenplay.
