Eva Longoria shouts it from the rooftops: she loves France, and she never misses an opportunity to go there. But if the American star is generally complimentary towards the Hexagon, there is one suggestion to which she put a clear and unequivocal “stop”. At least, the public now knows what to expect on this subject…
Eva Longoria and France, it’s quite a story. Convinced from her first visit to the country 30 years ago that she would marry a Frenchman, the actress fulfilled this prophecy by being married, from 2007 to 2011, to Tony Parker. And if their story ended in divorce, it allowed the Hollywood star to discover some ultra-pleasant facets of France, as she confided to “Elle”:
When I was married to Tony, he was on the French basketball team and we went to lots of small towns. I remember an incredible restaurant in Fécamp, in a very small family hotel. Tony would go play, and I would stay at the hotel. I became friends with the chef who taught me how to make sauces with capers or lemon butter. Of course, everything is better with butter! I associate a lot of his story with Tony with French cuisine. I will always be grateful to him for that.
If Eva Longoria loves France, it is also for what it conveys… French women! In any case, that is what she declared:
French women are so chic. I know it sounds like a cliché, but there’s something so classic and simple about French fashion. Whether it’s the makeup, the nails… It’s “effortless,” is the term I would use.

In short, you will have understood, the interpreter of Gabrielle Solis simply loves everything that exists in France… or almost. Indeed, in an interview given to Télé-Loisirs, she was asked about a possible participation in “Dancing with the Stars”. But her answer contrasted with her usual candor:
I don’t want to. I love France, I would like to do many things there, but this, Dancing with the Stars, is not one of them.
As a reminder, James Denton, who also played in “Desperate Housewives”, took part in the last season on TF1. But France’s leading channel will not be able to pull off an even bigger coup given the clear and unequivocal disinterest of Eva Longoria, who did not even bother to leave the door open. It must be said that her dancing style is rather… atypical:
A lifelong lover of France, even before her relationship with Tony Parker, Eva Longoria intends to continue to visit the country regularly to enjoy the food, landscapes, wine and fashion. However, don’t expect to see her participate in “Dancing with the Stars”: she refuses categorically!
