Several establishments will be closed this Canada Day. Here is a list of what will be open or accessible on July 1, 2024.
Small businesses such as convenience stores, gas stations, some pharmacies and grocery stores will remain open Monday. Restaurants and bars will be able to serve customers, but shopping centres, stores, banks and most retail businesses will be closed to customers.
Several museums will be open on this first Monday of July.
Government services
Services under federal and provincial jurisdiction will close their doors on Monday.
Government service points such as counters SAAQ and Canada Post, will therefore be closed.
Most branches of the SAQ will be open, while those of the SQDC will be closed.

Municipal services
On the Quebec City side, offices, libraries and service counters will be closed.
The ecocentres will be accessible as will the sports facilities.
The usual Sunday schedule will be in place on the RTC bus side, but the “Couche-tard” service will not be available.
