End clap for the Champs-Elysées Film Festival! An unmissable event for film buffs every year on the most beautiful avenue in the world, this event once again offered great surprises to spectators. Discover the prize list.

The 13th edition of the Champs-Elysées Film Festival has officially come to an end after eight days of cinematic discoveries, screenings rich in emotion and fascinating exchanges. Like every year, this event highlighted the best of French and American independent cinema for a week through an exceptional program.

On the occasion of the closing ceremony, which was held on Tuesday June 25 at the Publicis Cinémas, spectators were able to discover a preview of Miséricorde, the new feature film by Alain Guiraudie (L’inconnu du lac), in the presence of the film crew!

Among the films in competition, two feature films were successful with two awards each: the American comedy-drama Between the Temples by Nathan Silver, directed by Jason Schwartzman and Carol Kane, and the French thriller Eat the Night by Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel, which was presented a few weeks ago at the Cinematographers’ Fortnight in Cannes.

Prize list of the feature film jury:

  • Grand Jury Prize for Best Independent American Feature Film: Good One by India Donaldson
  • Grand Jury Prize for Best Independent French Feature Film: Diaries from Lebanon by Myriam El Hajj
  • Jury Prize for Best American Director: Nathan Silver for his film Between the Temples
  • Jury Prize for Best French Director: Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel for their film Eat the Night

The feature film jury was chaired this year by the director and screenwriter Rebecca Zlotowski (An Easy Girl, The Children of Others), surrounded by the actress, singer and director Alma Jodorowsky (Split), the filmmaker and screenwriter Jimmy Laporal-Trésor (The Rascals), producer Marie-Ange Luciani (Anatomy of a Fall) and director Nicolas Peduzzi (Limited State).

  • Grand Jury Prize for Best Independent American Short Film: Merman by Sterling Hampton
  • Grand Jury Prize for Best Independent French Short Film: Blood Ties by Hakim Atoui
  • Special Mention: Tanned bodies of Malou Six
  • Grand Jury Prize for Best Independent Medium Film tied: Reset by Souliman Schelfout and Incident by Bill Morrison

Press jury awards:

  • Critics’ Prize for Best Independent American Feature Film: Between the Temples by Nathan Silver
  • Critics’ Prize for Best French Independent Feature Film: Eat the Night by Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel

Public awards:

  • Audience Award for Best Independent American Feature Film: I Saw the TV Glow by Jane Schoenbrun
