At only 21 years old, Emilien became the greatest Midday Master on the show The 12 Coups de midi. He thus surpassed the record of Bruno Hourcade, who was until then the greatest French TV game champion. After having surpassed him in terms of prize pool, with more than a million euros on the clock, Emilien has exceeded 252 participations in the TF1 program. Will he manage to achieve a feat by spending an entire year as Midday Master? We asked the question to Bruno Hourcade, who gave us his exclusive predictions on the sidelines of a press conference for The Traitorss season 3, adventure in which he will participate as a candidate on M6.

Will Emilien stay for a year in Les 12 Coups de midi?

“It’s a little hard to say” he confided to TV News before adding: “Because we can lose absolutely all the broadcasts. The advantage is that since he has given up his school year, he has some free time. That, at least, is cool. Afterwards, it may very well turn red, the person is wrong, he may have a moment of fatigue. Really, he can lose at any time.” Indeed, it only takes a simple error for Emilian’s reign to end. For the moment, the latter is holding on and continuing to lead his boat, which poses no problem for Bruno Hourcade.

“I was psychologically prepared”

Asked about his feelings about having his number one spot stolen, he explained to us: “I saw it coming. The advantage of being at 251 wins is that when the person goes up, you see it coming. It doesn’t happen overnight.” A good player, he continued: “I was psychologically prepared for this to happen, so I took it very well. Plus, it happened when I was in the Traitors period. So, I only look at the positive, telling myself that ultimately, this adventure allowed me to have other opportunities. In addition, you would still have to be super egocentric, because there are worse things in life than being second in a TV game.”
