The Nocturnes of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat these are inevitably unforgettable evenings in a magical setting. For this second edition, we pay tribute in the sense of celebration and the love of artists. Values carried since its time by the Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild. So, every Monday and Tuesday, we are invited to a suspended moment, in the light of candles scattered throughout the gardens: 7 weeks of magical evenings, in the company of eclectic and passionate artists.
Music all summer long
Different figures, different solfeggios to (re)taste: Judy Garland (with Jodie Devos and David Enhco’s Big Band) at the Beatles (with Elizabeth Vidal & André Cognet), from Mozart (with Christophe Barbier) at Jean de La Fontaine (with Brigitte Fossey & Danielle Laval). Under the starry sky, the refrains of Laurent Voulzythe songs of François Morel or the warm voice of Lambert Wilson. The music will be a pretext to invite dance to the party; the violin of Catherine Lara officiating with the Kumo Company, the marimbas of Ensemble 0 punctuating the pas de deux of Martin Harriague & Émilie Lericheor the saxophone of GWilliam Perret accompanying the poetic proposition of Carolyn Carlson & Juha Marsalo.
Without forgetting the large repertoire, Chopin (with Edgar Moreau & David Kadouch), Schumann and Strauss (with David Fray & Melody Louledjian), Faure (with Jean-Philippe Collard) or even Ravel and Mahler (with Bruno Mantovani and the Contemporary Orchestral Ensemble).
Spectacular or lyrical, poetic or musical, these 14 unique evenings have the sole aim of bringing beauty and pleasure into the open air, and sharing them with you. The opportunity to discover the Villa and its gardens differentlyin a magical atmosphere in the light of the candles which illuminate the paths and ponds of the French Garden.
