“At the Jardin Sonore, we’re going to give it our all!” : Gaétan Roussel eager to play in Vitrolles with Louise Attaque

When you pick up the phone, there is no need to ask who is on the other end of the line: you would recognize this voice among thousands. This very particular timbre has forged the success of Louise Attaque, the group he founded with his friends Alexandre Margraff, Robin Feix and David Antoniw in 1994 before Arnaud Samuel joined them immediately. The band played in bars and toured party halls to share their passion for music, before achieving phenomenal success in 1997 with the eponymous album.

The group is barely known but sells 3 million records. A record for the time. Since then, the group has evolved. He almost got lost then found himself again and Gaétan Roussel’s solo success was not enough to break the bonds between the friends. 27 years after this first album, Gaétan Roussel has the increased desire of a young singer. Music is his life. So, Louise Attaque may have accumulated musical successes, filled the rooms and been one of the most requested artists at festivals this summer, but the members of the group never tire of talking about music and tours.

How are you approaching this summer tour?

With great desire! This year we are relying on the tour that we put together last year for our reunion on stage and which we had a lot of fun with. We realized that we were indeed on the road, that the welcome was good. A festival is different from a venue since we do not have the exclusivity of the stage that we share with other artists.
