On social media, a Met Gala guest list quickly went viral. And for good reason, if it turns out to be true, the red carpet promises to be walked by a fine line-up of stars.

This year again, the Met Gala promises to be heavy. In addition to the four co-chairs of the evening that we already know, the names of Taylor Swift (and her man), Madonna, Rihanna (and her man), Céline Dion and Blake Lively, emerged on a guest list that has gone viral on social networks. If for the moment, nothing confirms its veracity, the Met Gala is already shaping up to be a memorable evening.
But that’s not all. Still according to this list, Ryan Gosling as well as Margot Robbie, Billie Eilish, Timothée Chalamet, Pedro Pascal, Justin Bieber or even Lana Del Rey and Ice Spice should come up. In short, something to delight all fashion enthusiasts and celebrities around the world.

The return of the elite
Still assuming this list is true, the evening would see the return of many stars absent from recent editions of the Met. Taylor Swift, for example, had not walked the red carpet of the event since 2018. Ditto for singer Ariana Grande.
May 6 would also mark the (much) anticipated return of actress Blake Lively. Long a regular at the event, the “Queen of the Met” was conspicuous by her absence during the 2022 edition, where she dazzled the entire world with her Versace dress.

And fashion in all this?
Because in addition to being the most anticipated event of the year, for celebrities it is also a way to show how much weight (or not) they hold in the fashion world. Like every year, we will be treated to flops, but also to tops, hopefully.
As a reminder, the Met Gala this year is placed under the theme, as vague as it is incomprehensible, of “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”. We will therefore have to be patient to see who has done worse than Jared Leto disguised as a cat since the evening will take place on May 6.
