The capital of Togo will host from June 25 to 27, 2024, catch-up work for HIV testing services in countries in West and Central Africa and the Indian Ocean. The aim of this meeting is to help countries gain knowledge on solutions that can be used to fill existing testing gaps, to strengthen testing and linkage to care services and coverage, to disseminate the global recommendations on HIV testing and linkage to care, considered WHO guidelines for HTS in 2024, guidelines for HBV and syphilis testing, normative guidance and recommendations for implementation.

It also involves discussing the adoption and prioritization of WHO guidelines, based on different national contexts, identifying innovative approaches and implementation solutions to improve delivery and coverage. HIV testing services.

In the context of testing integration, strategies are being developed to effectively adapt testing and linkage to care services to contribute to the achievement of triple elimination goals and the delivery of integrated services. with a view to having a positive impact.

Chad had the honor of participating in the panel of discussions related to the transition to the three-test algorithm, after a verification study in Chad by Alain Nahaskida, deputy coordinator of the sectoral program to combat AIDS and sexually transmitted infections. and viral hepatitis.

Also taking part in the Lomé conference are the French-speaking countries of sub-Saharan Africa, including Chad.
