The Chinese Ruoning Yin won the Buick LPGA Shanghai in front of her home crowd with a score of -25 and an abysmal lead. Céline Boutier finished in ninth place in this first Asian Swing tournament.

What a feat of Ruoning Yin! The golfer from Shanghai won the Buick LPGA Shanghai handily in front of her home crowd for her fourth career tournament. The 22-year-old shot a final card of 64 to win with a six-shot lead over South Korean Sei Young Kim and Japanese Mao Saigo. The former world number one made eight birdies without a single bogey on the way to her first title in 2024.

Top 10 for Boutier

Celine Boutier snatches a place in the top 10 of this first Asian Swing tournament. The world number nine finished 9th while she flirted with the podium after her first round in 64. We will also note the 62 (-10) of the South Korean Hye Jin Choi who equaled the course record to finish in 5th place.
