A few months ago, we revealed to you that this excellent DreamWorks film was going to be entitled to a sequel, to the delight of fans of the American studio. And even more recently, we learned that their latest animated film released this week was also going to get a sequel. We tell you everything.
New adventures already planned for Roz the robot?
DreamWorks studios have decided to come back in force in 2024thus offering several projects to delight young and old. It started at the beginning of the year with Orion’s Night released last February on Netflix, then with the return of the famous warrior Dragon Po in Kung Fu Panda 4 a March.
And after a few months of waiting, fans were finally able to discover the new feature film from the animation studio, entitled The Wild Robot (or The Wild Robot and VO). Available since October 9, 2024 in our cinemas, this animated film is directed by Chris Sandersknown in particular for Lilo & Stitch (2002), Dragons (2010) or even The Croods (2013).
And while it’s been less than a week since The Wild Robot was released in theaters here, it seems that a sequel is already planned according to Deadline. In any case, this is what Sanders confirmed this weekend, stating that there was indeed “plans for a second film”.
The Wild Robot is adapted from the novel of the same name by Peter Brown. Here is the short synopsis of the animated film proposed by Universal Pictures:
