Two historic Golf+ consultants removed from the air after a live slip-up

The publication of an article in TV Mag magazine reporting “borderline” comments exchanged live between two historical consultants from the Group’s golf channel Canal+ led to the sidelining of the two men who were deprived of commentary from the final round of the FedEx French Open on Sunday.

In the article written by the journalist from Figaro TV Mag Julia Baudin find here the remarks made live on the air in the first round of theOpen de France on Golf+ par Fabrice Tarnaud (photo) et Patrice Barquez are transcribed word for word. It is about the meeting between the parents of Matthew Pavon and the least we can say is that it doesn’t fly very high.

An exchange that the journalist describes as “awkward” and which reached the ears of Matthieu Pavon.

The latter then logically refused to answer questions from the journalists of the encrypted channel. Several other French players who heard of the affair also boycotted the interviews in solidarity with the French number 1.

The story does not seem to end there since, despite their apologies the next day, Fabrice Tarnaud et Patrice Barquez were removed from the air on Sunday.
