Temu, a Chinese giant of gadgets of all kinds that some people buy when they don’t even need them, can attract many consumers through the discounted prices that the site offers.

And while many are satisfied with their orders, some are left with a bitter taste. This is the case of Yvo who testifies to HBVL.

This 78-year-old retiree wanted to order sewing and shaving utensils for around 22 euros. But while the site indicates that his order has been delivered, Yvo has not received anything at home. “We were at the seaside at the time of delivery, but when we got home I found nothing in my mailbox. When I checked with my neighbors, I realized that no one had received or seen anything. »

He decides to contact Colis Privé, who is supposed to deliver his order. “I was asked to make a sworn statement. I did it. But nothing happened. A week later, I contacted Temu. I didn’t get a response, not even to the follow-ups I made afterwards. I then started chatting with Klarna, the payment platform I used. » But at the beginning of June, Klarna asked him to pay 36.42 euros, “otherwise, my file will be transferred to a collection agency, with additional costs again. I don’t know how to fix this. » But Yvo did not want to pay for an order not received and he was right. HBVL contacted Temu: “The postal company claims that the package was delivered and that it was signed for receipt. But we can deduce, from your intervention, that the customer is acting in good faith. » The order was therefore refunded “to show our goodwill”. For its part, Klarna has also resolved the problem of the amount due to pay.
