Philippe Katerine will now present a column on France Inter. And for his first, during the morning radio show this Thursday, August 29, the singer put himself in the image of his song which he also performed: naked!

“The management offered me this position and asked me to sing my song naked. And it’s true that I can’t bring myself to sing this song while dressed,” he said before adding: “If it shocks you, you can imagine that I’m painted entirely in flesh color. We see what we want to see, don’t we?”

He notably returned to the controversy caused by some sequences of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, on Friday July 26, where painted in blue, girded and crowned with flowers, he had performed this title “in front of 2 billion people” he said himself.

“I’m sorry if it was shocking because that was not the intention at all,” he told the CNN, asking for “forgiveness” from those he may have offended.

During his appearance on France Inter, the singer mentioned some of the bad experiences he had this summer: “A punk with a dog who called me good for nothing in front of my children”, or “a woman of a certain age (who) told me to my face that I was the shame of France”, before continuing: “Otherwise, in general, people were still lovely to me.”

He even refers to Perpignan, where he says he went to the toilet in a restaurant, “natural need”, then was applauded by the entire room when he came out. “Unbelievable. When I had just peed. If I had pooped, what would I have been entitled to? A triumph? A standing ovation? A wave? Come on, come on. A little reason.”

He will present his mood piece on France Inter every Thursday at 8:55 a.m.
