Marlène Schaff then shared her own experience when she was her age. She was asked to do things to make herself more attractive. “I think I didn’t understand what that meant at the time,” remembers the vocal coach. “I’m not saying that I think I’m ugly or anything, when I have good makeup and hair like that I think I’m beautiful. Ten centimeters more, three kilos less, it’s small things (…) when you imagine a beautiful woman, you don’t imagine that“ laments the Lille resident in tears. The other students then reassured her by reminding her that her size and appearance were very good. “You need to understand that if you are just unapologetically you and wear your heart on your sleeve, as the English say, you will be the most attractive people in the world. The one thing we all strive for is is to be ourselves” concluded Marlène Schaff. Support which should bring comfort to Marine’s heart despite her doubts.
