Samsung unveils the future of its Oled and Mini-Led TVs: anti-glare, more brightness, wireless boxes and more AI

Samsung's new QD-Oled televisions.

During an event dedicated to its , video projector and soundbar ranges just before the official start of CES in Las Vegas, Samsung unveiled its new 2025 products. On the program, anti-reflection extends to many more models , the light peak is improving and wireless remote boxes are multiplying. AI obviously couldn't be forgotten and many features will land on the brand's televisions.

Oled always brighter

Concerning Oled, few changes are to be expected, but they remain interesting. The S95F succeeds last year's very good S95D, the S90F follows the S90D and the more entry-level S85F follows the S85D. On the program, a higher light peak, notably on the S95F which should benefit from a significant gain of 30% according to the manufacturer and the TV should reach 2000 cd/m2. A feat that we will of course verify during our tests, but which could allow the Oled to catch up part of its delay on the Mini-Led.

The new S95F is even brighter.

Last year's S95D caused a sensation with a fairly revolutionary anti-reflection coating on the TV market and this filter has been improved this year with a reduction in the diffusion of light on the surface of the screen, a notable problem with previous generation.

Last point, televisions will now be available up to a diagonal of 83 inches, which was not the case before.

The Qleds are full of new products

Concerning the Neo Qled ranges, that is to say Mini-Led at Samsung, there is also something new. First of all, we will find the anti-reflection of the S95 on the high-end Qled as well, whether on the QN990F or the QN900F (the manufacturer's 8K televisions).

The QN990F, Neo Qled 8K model.

Samsung had introduced its remote boxes on several ranges of televisions, notably The Frame and S95, but the manufacturer is going even further this year with a completely wireless box like the The Frame Pro which has just been announced. We can therefore place its case and connectors in a piece of furniture in the room for a streamlined installation. Everything works without latency like what LG offers on its M range.

The QN900 does not benefit from the wireless box.

The less high-end QN900F will not benefit from the offset case and its design is a little different from the QN990 since it sports a frame reminiscent of The Frame.

The 115-inch QN90 is gigantic.

Finally, the QN90F, a more affordable 4K model, will not be equipped with either the case or anti-reflective, but it can be found in very large sizes, 98 and even 115 inches if you have a living room capable of accommodating such diagonals. .

Artificial intelligence everywhere

All manufacturers are getting started, and AI is arriving on all types of products. Televisions are no exception and Samsung has naturally focused on new features that are more or less interesting. We can, for example, generate personalized wallpapers or obtain information on the content displayed on the screen (name and biography of the actors, places, etc.) which can be useful on occasion, but we can wonder if will consumers really use these two features. Automatically adding subtitles to any type of content should prove more relevant, especially since it is possible to translate them directly. It remains to be seen whether the translation is effective depending on the context, but we can hope that everything improves with each update.

We will obviously test the new 2025 products as soon as the products arrive on the French market, probably in the spring if the usual schedule is respected. Until then, we will also have more information to share with you on the prices of the different TV ranges.
