For the general public, Thierry Henry is known as an exceptional footballer, an outstanding scorer, combining technique, speed and power like few players in history. But for his fellow players who have worked with him, “Titi” is also the man with a somewhat unusual anatomy… and the information is now so well known that the main person himself reacted to it!

Bixente Lizarazu himself admitted it without difficulty: in the showers, discontent is sometimes required between the players. But if some people still fear this moment, others, like Thierry Henry, have nothing to hide – and they would have a hard time anyway. Indeed, the former FC Barcelona player was nicknamed “The Anaconda” by his peers, named after the snake measuring 2 to 5 meters.

Thierry Henry's explanations of his anatomy

While appearing on the show “En Aparté” in 2002, the ex-Blues striker was surprised to see this famous nickname revealed during the interview. Enough to plunge him into a certain uneasiness, especially when the journalist Pascale Clark questioned him based on the presupposition that the reference to the anaconda came from the eponymous film by Luis Llosa:

Pascale Clark: “It’s up to you to explain to us, it seems that it’s one of your favorite films.”

Thierry Henry: “Ah! No (laughs). There is a story behind it, but I can't say it. I can't, it's not possible! »

Pascale Clark: “Why isn’t it possible? »

Thierry Henry: “Because as they say at the top of the film poster: 'It will take your breath away', so I can't say it. I can't “.

Pascale Clark: “Oh no, it’s terrible what you’re doing, Thierry Henry, we want to at least understand a little bit. Tell us why you can’t say it.”

Thierry Henry: “It’s my nickname but… It’s my nickname, that’s it. For what ? I can't say it. If it's sexual? Yeah, that's why I can't say it. My mother is going to watch the show, I can’t.”

If Pascale Clark did not succeed in extracting a confession from Henry, everyone will obviously have understood what it was about, and why “Titi” inherited this nickname from her partners in the showers. He was not the only player on the French team in the early 2000s in this situation, since Claude Makélélé was nicknamed “mid-thigh”. A nickname even less discreet than that of the ex-Gunner, and which is also accompanied of his share of legends

What happens in a locker room generally stays in a locker room, but Thierry Henry was not lucky: the nickname given by his teammates has become public knowledge. A subject on which the world and European champion is not usually questioned, and it is better given his slightly confused explanations… but understood!
