The future of TPMP is (still) uncertain. In July 2024, ARCOM – which has often sanctioned the broadcast – decided not to renew the frequency of C8 on TNT. And so it is on February 28, 2025 that the eighth channel will stop broadcasting. For TPMPthe countdown is on. But the closure of the channel does not necessarily mean a stop for the talk show presented by Cyril Hanouna. Monday January 6, 2025, the presenter discussed the possible sequels for the show and the avenues envisaged.
“What's going on? The Canal+ group has negotiated its agreement, that is to say a charter which says what the channel can do, what the channel cannot do.“, explained Cyril Hanouna. And added: “In the Canal+ group, there is Canal+, there is C8, there is CStar, there is CNews and there are more confidential channels. (…) We wanted to know if it was possible in the CStar convention to do a talk show, TPMP type, between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., in the times we are in. A priori, yes it is possible, the convention allows it. So we're going to work on that, there are other avenues.“

A switch to CStar is a track “serious“, but nothing has been done yet.”We are studying this avenue, it is a serious avenue, but I will tell you what will happen in the coming days since there are other avenues that are being studied. This one is the most advanced with the teams. For the moment, there is nothing done, there is nothing certain, but the good news is that it is possible to do a talk show on the CStar channel.” Enough to reassure the chroniclers of TPMP that Cyril Hanouna assured that he would hire wherever he went. Only Valérie Bénaïm has not yet been made aware of this “good news“.
Monday January 6, 2025, the show's historical chronicler was actually absent, replaced by Sophie Coste. “She just wrote to me, Valérie Benaïm is doing well“, assured Cyril Hanouna, vexing Kelly Vedovelli. “She didn't respond to my message. (…) I asked her where she was this afternoon“, regretted the columnist, who, we are certain, will not hold it against her colleague.
“She will answer you, don't worry“, replied the host, who joked: “Know that she is currently competing in frisbee, she will certainly be back next week, we kiss her and I hope she took advantage of her vacation to get rid of Patoche“.
