Mathis, the son of Charles Lafortune and Sophie Prégent, reaches an important milestone

In the next episode of Autiste, the beginning, we will attend the graduation of Mathis Lafortune, the son of Charles Lafortune and Sophie Prégent.

He graduated from the Giant Steps School, which he has been attending since he was two years old. This is an important, symbolic moment, as much for the father as for the mother.

Mathis will be able to continue his education and further develop his autonomy in the Autistic & Major Space, open in the Giant Steps School (we will also be able to see the official opening in the show).

In Autistic, the beginning, Charles and Sophie once again open the doors of their house to us and show us their daily life with Mathis. One of the challenges they had to overcome over the past year was finding a replacement for Ginette, the lady who looked after their boy for 12 years and who is now retiring. The couple turned to a headhunter to try to find the rare gem.

The documentary also introduces us to families who are waiting for a diagnosis for their child. We witness their questions and their concerns. Autistic, the beginning is broadcast Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. on TVA.

Remember that, recently, Charles Lafortune was looking for young autistic people for a special project. More details here.
