Appointed in recent months, the general directors of public authorities will see their earnings reduced. The Council of State has revised them downwards, he indicated in a recent response to a deputy. Thus, the future boss of the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) – he will arrive on September 1 – will be paid 60,000 francs less per year than his predecessor. And this, for an annual remuneration of 390,000 francs. gross, lump sum compensation included and without variable part, specifies the “Tribune de Genève”.

At the airport, the future general manager Gilles Rufenacht, who is due to take up his duties this autumn, will receive a fixed annual salary of 344,446 francs gross. That is around 20,000 francs less than the current boss of Cointrin; in addition, the basic amount of the variable part will decrease by 10%. At Transports publics genevois (TPG), the next general manager, whose position is subject to competition, should see his annual salary decrease by almost 30,000 francs, for a total salary of around 330,000 francs gross, without variable part. At Services industriels de Genève (SIG), the amount of the future remuneration of their boss is not yet known: the head of the agency has resigned and the position is open.
