Parts that come loose: Tesla recalls its Cybertrucks again

Automaker Tesla is expected to issue a recall of its Cybertrucks again on Tuesday, this time because the company is concerned that a piece of black plastic running along the vehicle could come loose while driving.

“If the appliqué becomes detached from the vehicle while driving, it could create a road hazard for motorists following you and increase their risk of injury or collision,” read documents published on the vehicle’s website. US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), according to CNN.

This new recall, the fourth since the launch of Cybertrucks last year, would this time concern almost all of the approximately 12,000 trucks in circulation to date, noted the American media.

It was while transporting several of them on a vehicle transport truck to a delivery center that the company first noticed the missing part. Further investigation would have revealed other cases of improperly installed parts, including some that may have already been sold.

The company is expected to begin notifying affected customers around mid-August. The latter will be asked to bring their vehicle to a service center, so that the part can be replaced or reinforced using an adhesion spray or pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, according to CNN.

Incidentally, some Cybertrucks will be recalled for another problem linked to the truck’s huge windshield wiper, which could have been damaged during tests, which could cause it to break down mid-trip, according to the American media.

Tesla is not its first recall: just in January, more than 2.2 million vehicles, including Cybertrucks, had to return to the garage for a software recall, while warning messages were displayed too much. small to be read properly.

Then in April, other cybertrucks were recalled, this time for a problem with the accelerator pedal, a pad of which threatened to come loose and get stuck.
