Pronovo, the Swiss certification body accredited for the seizure of guarantees of origin, announces that 23,615 photovoltaic installations were connected over the period January-April 2024 for a total power of 602 MW, or 81% more than for the same period of the previous year. This represents almost 200 systems per day, a new record.

In detail, in the segment of power plants of less than 100 kWp, 22,647 systems were installed, for a power of 367 MW, including a peak in March with 197 MW. In the segment of more than 100 kWp, around 200 MW were installed for 708 installations. Finally, in the segment of high single remuneration (RUE) and calls for tenders, 35 MW were installed, for 260 power plants, again with a peak in March (29 MW).

The RUE aims to reimburse up to 60% of the investment costs upon commissioning corresponding to reference installations, provided that the installation provides power between 2 and 150 kW and has been commissioned at from January 1, 2023 In 2023, a payment of 450 francs (462 euros) per installed kW is planned for the RUE.

Finally, Pronovo notes in its statistics that the increase in large installations of more than 100 kW with self-consumption, as well as PV installations on facades, was particularly significant over the first four months of the year.
