The Cultural and Creative Industries Conference returns to Rabat in October – Telquel.ma

PLaced under high royal patronage, the event will bring together political and economic leaders, national and international experts, and the main players in the ecosystem of cultural and creative industries (ICC) in Morocco, the organizers indicate in a press release.

This event will allow us to consider the future of this promising and dynamic sector, creator of wealth, jobs, emotions and meaning in the service of the Kingdom’s influence, continues the same source.

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, and the Federation of Cultural and Creative Industries (FICC) of the CGEM, with the support of the European Union in Morocco, these meetings explore new trends in governance, financing and digital transformation, and raise the question of the valorization of heritage and the experience of places, as well as the future of these industries.

“The organization of these second conferences reaffirms the desire to promote an innovative sector, structured into promising sectors and capable of creating jobs, both directly and indirectly. The government believes in the potential of this sector and pays particular attention to the development of cultural and creative industries in our country, in order to consolidate governance that is both effective and ambitious,” says the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, quoted in the press release.

The ICC sector is today one of the most dynamic and efficient in the world with 50 million jobs created and 2000 billion dollars of revenue generated. Morocco, with its creative youth, its rich cultural heritage and its entrepreneurial spirit, aims to distinguish itself as a continental leader in this sector.

“There is a real opportunity to be seized today, and we must act more quickly to take full advantage of the technological progress and changes underway,” supports, for her part, the president of the FICC, Neïla Tazi.

“Like many countries, Morocco can accelerate the development of CCIs by combining government support, private investment and innovative strategies. The conference is an important meeting to strengthen dialogue between public and private stakeholders and initiate policies adapted to the specific needs of the sector and Morocco’s ambitions,” she continues.

“The development of ICCs is of common interest to Morocco and the European Union. Our commitment to it in Morocco is an extension of our long and solid cooperation.”notes the European Union ambassador to Morocco, Patricia Llombart Cussac. “These second meetings highlight the exceptional potential of an industry that is expanding on a global scale”she adds. They provide a strategic framework for debate, the exchange of ideas and the development of strategies aimed at creating a culturally enriching and economically sustainable future.

The program for these meetings includes five thematic panels focusing on “Public-private partnership, a winning asset for culture”, “innovative financing and crowdfunding”, “the experience of the place: tourism, culture, and heritage”, “Human capital in the digital and AI era” and “Perspectives for cultural and creative industries”.
