Ashanti and Nelly would have married on December 27, 2023, according to documents obtained by “People” magazine. These documents reveal that the ceremony took place in St. Louis, the 49-year-old rapper’s hometown.
Although the couple announced their engagement last year, they have yet to publicly confirm their marriage. Earlier this week, the 43-year-old singer opened up about Nelly’s proposal, calling it a “beautiful, intimate moment.” She said she was wearing “one of his t-shirts and one of his boxers” when Nelly asked the question, taking her by surprise as she watched TV.
The couple is expecting their first child this year. In May, Ashanti flaunted her baby bump in a post posing with Nelly. “This Mother’s Day was so special,” she wrote. “Having our families together as we prepare to begin such an incredible adventure has been great. I wish all mothers and future mothers a happy Mother’s Day.”
The two stars first dated in 2003 for ten years. In 2023, they got back together, subsequently announcing their engagement and Ashanti’s pregnancy.
