It was at Château Beauregard, a typical 17th century French castle located in Vaucluse, in Provence, that the ex-Red Devil Steven Defour and Isabel invited their guests. A wedding in small groups, since around a hundred friends and members of their respective families had made the trip for the occasion.

Tuesday, under superb sunshine, the couple said yes in the castle park, facing Mont Ventoux. Steven wore a white and black suit, while his girlfriend opted for a long strapless dress. They enjoyed a superb dinner in the park, then a dancing evening hosted by a group of saxophonists and then by a DJ. Steven and Isabel opened the ball to the tune of “Stand by me”. The young woman then changed into a shorter dress, the better to be able to dance until the end of the night!
Among the guests of honor, there was Michele Lacroix, one of Isabel’s best friends who also spent several days with her friends before the big day, in this castle… The young woman was alone, her husband Kevin De Bruyne being in full preparation for the Euro with the Red Devils.
Michele was one of the bridesmaids, in a superb low-cut black dress which once again got the English press talking… She therefore attended her best friend for her wedding, and it’s a safe bet that she also participated to the choice of wedding service providers, a good number coming directly from England…
On Wednesday, Michele left the group of friends to return to the country and attend the friendly match against Montenegro at the King Baudouin stadium. She thus celebrated her husband’s 100th selection for the Red Devils, and at the same time was able to witness his goal.

For Steven Defour, it was a second marriage, he who was already married to Irène and had divorced in 2013. He had asked for Isabelle’s hand last July, after more than a year of relationship, during of a superb evening at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp (KMSKA), where he had installed hundreds of candles for the occasion. The couple lives near Heuzden-Zolder, where they moved at the end of 2023.
