It was only 7 p.m. and the queue was already big. On the Promenade des Anglais, the Amour à la plage hotel, a private establishment located on the pebbles, organized its first concert of the summer in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), this Thursday June 27, 2024.

To start the season, Baie des Anges hosted the British group The Libertines, of which rocker Peter Doherty. A performance that was clearly highly anticipated.

The crowd was waiting for Peter Doherty from 7 p.m.

Singer Peter Doherty, former partner of the model Kate Moss and the French actress Charlotte Gainsbourgwas therefore in the Côte d’Azur city this Thursday to set fire to this private beach.

Before the doors opened at 7 p.m., the crowd had already gathered on the southern roadway of the Promenade des Anglais.

Concerts scheduled all summer

The Amour à la Plage hotel, whose rooftop is located not far from there on Avenue des Fleurs in the Musicians’ district, promises other fiery concerts with a varied programming all summer.

The next one will take place on Wednesday July 3rd with the arrival of Parcels, an Australian music group. On July 11th, in another register, it is the very famous DJ Laurent Garnier who will come to liven up the Côte d’Azur residents.

Tickets have been available since May 10 on the Dice website. Waiting lists have been set up for upcoming concerts. Last year, the venue hosted Benjamin Biolay.

British band The Libertines are continuing their European tour all summer. But the Promenade des Anglais has never lived up to its name as well as it did this Thursday night.
