Fans’ wait for “The Last of Us” will soon end. Season 2 of the successful apocalyptic series will be broadcast in April 2025 on HBO, its co-creator and screenwriter Neil Druckmann revealed this Tuesday. Its announcement, made during CES, the world’s largest technology show, in Las Vegas, was accompanied by the broadcast of a thirty-second teaser.
In this trailer, we can see the actors Kaitlyn Dever (Abby, one of the central characters of this new part) and Jeffrey Wright, who joined the cast in this season 2, but also Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey ( Ellie), the heroes of season 1. And above all, many, many rabid and always bloodthirsty zombies.
Last summer, HBO had already revealed the first images of the second season, the plot of which takes place five years after the first and will only have seven episodes (compared to nine for season 1). A season 3 is already in preparation.
As a reminder, the first season of “The Last of Us” broke audience records. The pilot of the series was the most watched in the last ten years on HBO, after that of “House of the Dragon”.
