Eight new accommodations to rent in the heart of nature in Quebec

Want to unwind and reconnect with nature? Every year, new inviting accommodation sites appear in the province. Here are eight new addresses for an unforgettable getaway in 2025.

1. New domes in Saint-Côme (Lanaudière)

Located on the mountainside, each accommodation at Dômes St-Côme is designed and designed for well-being. These homes are available all year round and can accommodate two to four people. They offer you all the essentials: bed kingprivate bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and relaxation area with wood stove. Outside, you will enjoy a huge terrace with dining area, barbecue, hanging net and campfire area.

2. From A-frame chalets to Refuges des Collines (Outaouais)

The A-frame chalets of Refuges des Collines are new pearls nestled in the heart of nature near McGregor Lake and Nakkertok, the largest cross-country ski center in Eastern Canada. These four new modern homes offer the perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Each is equipped with a gas fireplace, a raclette oven, a fondue stove, smoking grills and a spa, ideal for relaxing and recharging your batteries. For those who wish to work remotely, each unit has internet access and a desk.

3. New accommodations at Chalets Prunella (Outaouais)

In Ladysmith, in Pontiac, Chalets Prunella is a site that specializes in original nature accommodation, with several A-shaped chalets with a minimalist and refined appearance. Three new accommodations will be added to the four existing shelters, located on a magnificent 75-acre plot of land in the forest. Each features a fully equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom, floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a private hot tub and wood-burning fireplace. To top it all off, scenic hiking trails surround each home, providing total immersion in nature.

4. The Elliot silos are added to the Dômes versants de la Falaise (Mauricie)

In the heart of the Trois-Rives forest in Haute-Mauricie, the Versants de la Falaise site already had four luxurious domes on the mountainside. This winter, in addition to a new dome, a chalet from a converted grain silo is being added. Combining charm and comfort, the accommodation will accommodate up to four people. A rear terrace is set up for relaxing, combined with a Scandinavian bath for unique outdoor relaxation. The fenced yard provides a peaceful setting, with charming farm animals nearby such as chickens, miniature goats and rabbits. The opening of two other silos is also planned for spring 2025.

5. New chalets accessible to people with reduced mobility at La Mauricie National Park (Mauricie)

La Mauricie National Park is expanding its winter accommodation offering with the addition of two new chalets accessible to people with reduced mobility, located near the entrance to Saint-Jean-des-Piles. To the delight of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or winter hiking enthusiasts, these accommodations can accommodate up to 10 people (or even 12, if there are children) and offer comfort and ergonomics in an exceptional natural setting. They will be available from December to March.

6. Horizon chalets arrive in the Laurentides wildlife reserve (Quebec region)

This winter, 12 new Horizon chalets, located in the Etape sector of the Laurentides wildlife reserve, are available for rental. Located between Quebec and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, they are easily accessible, in a short time, by Route 175. The Horizon chalet, a unique concept at Sépaq, offers a living area with high ceilings, a the most generous windows, two to three sofas, a wood stove, a closed entrance hall practical for storing equipment and drying clothes as well as an electric charging station for cars. Made almost entirely of Quebec wood, these homes can accommodate between four and six adults in addition to accompanying children.

7. Rustic shelters in the middle of the forest (Bas-Saint-Laurent)

Near La Pocatière, Les Cabines St-O offers an authentic escape, in the heart of the forest, allowing you to reconnect with the essentials and completely disconnect from the hectic pace of our modern lives. These two chalets (two to four people) were built from sustainable materials and using traditional methods. Located on the banks of the Ouelle River in Saint-Onésime-d’Ixworth, the homes have neither water nor electricity. They have been designed with a reduced environmental impact in mind to respect the harmony of the place.

8. A chalet on top of a mountain (Gaspésie)

Cap Castor is a private ski area that has developed in recent years. The L’Hors-Piste ecolodge, a ski-in/ski-outoffers you a rejuvenating experience between sea and mountains while enjoying exceptional comfort. Here, we stay in a refuge that has become a four-season chalet, at the top of the mountain, at an altitude of 610 m. Able to accommodate six to eight people, it includes electricity, running water and everything needed for a memorable ski trip.
