Ukraine’s ballistic missile attack on Sevastopol killed four people, including two children. This is a downwardly revised assessment announced by the governor based in Moscow. Mikhail Razvojaïev initially mentioned five deaths. A total of 151 people required medical attention and 82 people were hospitalized.

The Russian Defense Ministry, for its part, accused the United States of having responsibility for this deadly strike, asserting that it was allegedly carried out with long-range ATACMS missiles. These are the missiles supplied by Washington to kyiv. Neither kyiv nor Washington have commented yet.

Power outages Monday

The operator Ukrenergo announced on Sunday that due to Russian attacks, the Ukrainian electricity network was experiencing serious difficulties. “On June 24, all regional electricity distribution companies will implement planned power outages.”

Infrastructure in Ukraine has been heavily damaged by Moscow’s attacks and restrictions on electricity use regularly take place. These measures are necessary, according to Ukrenergo, because electricity consumption “increases at the start of the week” and that the network is very weakened by “massive Russian attacks”.

In recent months, power plants have been targeted by eight large-scale attacks, according to Ukraine’s energy ministry.
