No comments from the Russian army

Russia has not yet commented on the announcement but, if confirmed, it would be a blow to the Kremlin’s air force. The Su-57, identified by NATO under the code FELON, is a so-called 5th generation combat aircraft, Russia’s most modern.

It only entered service in December 2020, would only be built to date in 26 examples, including four prototypes, and cost $50 million each… It is capable of firing the Kh-59 and 69 missiles, Russian cruise missiles regularly used to bomb Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
