An hour and a half drive from Miami is Mar-a-Lago. This is where Donald Trump’s palace is located, a huge open residence that is difficult to secure. A real challenge for the Secret Service, under pressure since the two assassination attempts on the former president.
It is there, a stone’s throw from the residence, that Donald Trump’s golf course is located, where he escaped a second assassination attempt last September. The first, more spectacular, occurred in Pennsylvania, when a bullet grazed his skull and passed through his right ear during a meeting, sparking a wave of solidarity well beyond his camp.
He could have used this opportunity to send a message of unity, but Donald Trump chose to polarize further. A decision which fuels uncertainty, making the presidential election particularly indecisive just a few days before the election.
