DThe small planes collided on Sunday afternoon while taking part in an aerial parade as part of a patrol of six aircraft at Beja airport in southern Portugal, the army said. air in a press release.

According to witnesses to the accident cited by the Portuguese press, the six aircraft were part of an acrobatic patrol called “Yak Stars”, presented by the air show organizers as “the largest civilian aerobatic team in the south of the Europe”.
