The government majority expressed its “strong condemnation of the war waged by Israel against the Palestinian people, and which has cost the lives of thousands of Palestinians, including a majority of women and children, in addition to tens of thousands of injured , alongside the policy of massive displacement and great destruction at all levels. In a press release following a meeting held on Wednesday October 9 in Raba, the parties which make up the executive demanded “the immediate end of this war and a return to negotiations”, advocating “the mechanisms of diplomacy to stop the bloodshed and violence in the region.

In this sense, the written declaration emphasizes that “the only way to guarantee peace, security and stability in the region is only within the framework of a two-state solution, Gaza being an integral part of the territory of an independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state, with Al-Quds East as its capital.

At the same time, the majority parties also expressed their “strong condemnation” of Israel’s armed actions in Lebanon, while emphasizing their “absolute solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people and their government.” Thus, they called on “the international community to intervene urgently in order to put an end to the attacks of the Israeli war machine and to protect civilians, the unity and the sovereignty of Lebanon on its lands”.

The meeting of the government majority was chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) party, in the presence of Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, national coordinator of the collegial direction of the general secretariat of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and Nizar Baraka for Istiqlal. Rachid Talbi Alami and Mohamed Mehdi Bensaïd also took part.

During this same meeting, representatives of the components of the executive rejected the recent decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) concerning the agricultural and fishing agreements concluded between Morocco and the Twenty-seven. Last Friday, the court ruled against the European Commission’s appeal concerning agreements with the kingdom, including the Sahara.
