The BMX modules for the 2024 Olympic Games, worth around 750,000 euros, were transferred to Cluses, which obtained authorization to keep them, we read in “Le Dauphiné Libéré”. The City’s goal is to host at least one BMX event, during the 2027 Cycling Worlds which will take place in Haute-Savoie, as well as to develop this discipline.

If Cluses is not selected to host the world championships, the modules will be moved, then brought back. In the meantime, a project is underway to use the infrastructure.

Cluses’ interest in BMX is said to have started in 2018, when Thomas Benedetti, former French champion and native of this city, organized an event to highlight this sport, which was a success.
