Monday October 7, in the premises of the Pays de Valençay en Berry Tourist Office, the presentation of “Destination Valençay Berry Val-de-” was held in the presence of the various partners. Elle brings together four communities of municipalities (Ecueillé-Valençay, Chabris-Pays de Bazelle, Châtillonnais en Berry, Levroux Boischaut Champagne), i.e. 48 municipalities, promoted by four tourist offices located in Chabris, Châtillon-sur-Indre, Levroux and Valençay. In 2019, the creation of a tourism development plan supported the promotion of a common tourist identity and the implementation of collective engineering bringing together all local stakeholders around the same destination: Valençay Berry Val-de -Loire.

Gathering of four offices

Today, this major project is being brought to fruition by bringing together the four tourist offices into a single tourist activity unit in order to work to find a new way of promoting the tourist offer and welcome. It is by working together in order to support an ambition of regional, or even national, influence.

The destination wishes to offer its tourist providers a new spotlight thanks to the development of promotional tools and the connection of the four tourist offices of the destination.

The website is the first successful tool of this collaboration. A showcase of the territory, it is a real communication tool for promotion and enhancement.

For the organization of the stay, it offers a display that is both complete and filterable, meeting the specific needs of the Internet user, of all offers and providers. An interactive map allows you to plan your stay and select your favorites. Concerning the purchase of the stay, the site must facilitate the act. The site also offers regularly updated content, and even “real-time” tools. This new site is intended to be professional, trendy, responsive design (on computer, telephone and tablets) and compatible with other regional tools (Tourinsoft and the regional Marketplace). It was designed to adapt to the new practices and expectations of tourist customers.
