Season 2 of Severance will soon be released, and events are already looking bad for the heroes: Ben Stiller has published a new image which intrigues as much as it worries the spectators.
It took three years to find Mark and his team. Season 2 of Severance will begin its broadcast on January 17, 2025 and promises an ambitious sequel both in terms of quality and complexity in terms of its plot (without too much surprise). We have indeed been assured on numerous occasions that such a wait is justified by the desire for careful work for the new adventures of our favorite heroes… unfortunately, the teasing is already worrying for the workers at Lumon.
While the promotion of the series negotiates its last turn before the release of the first episodes of this second chapter of Severancea new enigmatic image has been published on the social networks of Ben Stiller, producer on the project. And the shot, which takes up the aesthetic of the first episodes and plays with the austerity of the Lumon offices, seems to suggest an ever darker plot for the sequel.

On December 28, 2024, Ben Stiller posted an image to his Bluesky account showing the microdata refinement department empty and surrounded by police tape reserved for crime scenes.

The last time Mark and his colleagues appeared on the series, they had just activated the protocol used to awaken their Inter instead of their Exter: Mark, Helly and Irving discovered shocking truths, while Dylan had to stay behind to activate both switches.
Milchik had finally managed to get there to stop the insurrection, and the image published by Ben Stiller suggests that something terrible had happened in Lumon. To the point where fans are now confused as to what could happen next.
“I’m sure it’s not a real crime scene and it’s just to stop them from entering the area for any reason. I don’t know, I refuse to believe anything Lumon says,” declares a user on Reddit. To which another responds: “You’re probably right, but that begs the question: what happens if an employee loses his mind and actually kills another employee? How does Lumon handle this type of problem legally?“
