Presented by Jean-Pierre Foucault (Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?), Denis Brogniart (Koh-Lanta) and Hélène Mannarino (Le Grand Quiz), faces well known to viewers, the new TF1 show is not a success. Gladiators offers ordinary challengers the opportunity to challenge gladiators in the arena through tests of strength, speed, balance and cardio. This concept is inspired by that of Ninja Warriorsanother program in which contestants demonstrate their power. In 2016, the latter attracted 5 million spectators, compared to a much lower audience for this Gladiators modern times: barely 2 million people are interested in this game.

France 2 and its special Christmas episode of the series Murders in Paradise are the big winners this Friday, December 27, with 24.7% audience share. TF1 lags behind with 11.2% audience shareand according to the reactions of Internet users on X, this disenchantment is not strange!
