According to our colleagues at Variety, Florence Hunt, one of the stars of The Bridgerton Chronicles, will be starring in a new romantic series called Mix Tape.

Currently starring in season 3 of The Bridgerton Chronicles in the role of Hyacinth, Florence Hunt will soon be in the casting of a brand new romantic series.

According to our colleagues at VarietyFlorence Hunt has just landed a role in Mix Tape, an Australian-Irish series centered on the theme of music.

Adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name by Jane Anderson, Mix Tape tells the story of Daniel and Alison, two friends, now living on opposite continents of the planet, who reconnect through a song from their shared past. They will then explore the possibility of the love story and the life they were destined to live since they first met in the 1980s.

Mix Tape will therefore transport viewers back in time, to that intoxicating feeling of first love, and will be a classic and immersive romance accompanied by a “catchy nostalgic” soundtrack according to the producers.

In this series, Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas) and Teresa Palmer (The Clearing, The Fall Guy) will play Daniel and Alison while Florence Hunt and Rory Walton-Smith will play the younger versions of the two main characters.

Alongside this quartet, viewers will also find Mark O’Halloran (Mary & George), Helen Behan (The Virtues), Conor Sánchez (Hope Street), Jonathan Harden (Blue Lights), Siobhan O’Kelly (The Tourist), Alexis Rodney (The Gentlemen) and Sara Soulié (The Man Who Died).

Produced by Subotica and Aquarius Films, and with Boat Rocker overseeing international distribution, Mix Tape will be directed by Lucy Gaffy from a screenplay by Jo Spain (Sanditon).

On the set side, the filming of Mix Tape took place in Sydney and is currently continuing in Dublin.

Mix Tape, a series mixing romance, nostalgia and music that should please fans of the genre!
