Married at First Sight (M6): “It’s a trap”, Jérémy explains why he regrets having participated in the show

In an Instagram story, Jérémy wrote last night, Monday June 24, ahead of the broadcast of the final episode of season 8 of Married at first sight : “Tonight is the last of MAPR. After a year and a half of investment. 15 weeks of broadcasting. 1 month of filming. 1 wedding. A lot of varied emotions. I admit that I am happy and relieved to ‘finally see the end of it all! Good episode to you, and in the meantime, I did an interview which summarizes some moments of this extraordinary adventure”. Indeed, the professional marble worker gave a long interview to our colleagues at TV Magazine in which he spoke in detail about his feelings.

“She doesn’t want to speak to me anymore”

After watching last night’s episode of the show, we now have confirmation that Marie and Jérémy have not gotten back together after explaining themselves about the Bordeaux man’s disrespectful behavior. Marie was also shocked to discover the images of her ex-husband during the assessment in front of experts Estelle Dossin and Gilbert Bou Jaoudé, which Jérémy assured he understood as he confided to our colleagues. He indicated: “After the assessment, we met again to talk and calm things down. We also had the opportunity to explain ourselves at length off camera. I told her that, during the assessment, I had not been correct with her in my way of expressing myself, I am sorry for having made these comments and I have apologized for it several times..

“Since then, our relationship has been peaceful and friendly, without ambiguity on my part. But since she saw the images of the assessment on M6, she no longer wants to speak to me, which I understand and regret,” he assured. And to continue anyway: “Marie would not have become the woman of my life, no matter what. If I had to do it again, I would communicate my doubts differently in the form but the outcome would be the same. This does not mean that Marie is a bad person but she just doesn’t suit me I love her a lot, we shared something unique together and I’m disappointed today that I no longer have contact with her..

“Don’t go there, it’s a trap”

About his experience in Married at First Sight, Jérémy has very bitter memories… “If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t do it”, he first told TV Magazine. Then to detail: “It’s clear and clear. I don’t regret having done it but if I could go back a year and a half to talk to myself, I would say to myself: ‘Don’t go there, it’s a trap’. It’s an adventure that is not easy for any candidate because we are judged and criticized by viewers on the basis of a broadcast when we are all ordinary people, respectable and respectful, with our qualities and our faults..

Regarding his argument with Marie, he did not mince his words with our colleagues. “In the episode broadcast on M6, I was made to look like a coward even though, a few days later, we spoke again and saw each other again. I felt that the show did not have to witness a conversation which belonged to our private life”, he said regarding the fact that he did not want to have a discussion with his ex-wife in front of the channel’s cameras. And Jérémy concludes: “Any couple going through this kind of crisis doesn’t want to resolve their issues in front of twenty people, cameras and, potentially, millions of viewers afterwards. No one wanted to hear and understand this need to protect myself and to protect Marie”.
